Livingston makes shipping your vehicle as easy as possible. That’s why we give you the option of dropping off your vehicle at one of our transportation depots, or using our door-to-door pickup and delivery valet service.
Either way, Livingston takes care of the details, while you enjoy peace of mind.


Protecting your asset with a vehicle survey
Before Livingston takes possession of your vehicle, we conduct a survey to ensure the condition of the vehicle is accurately documented. That way, both parties are aware of the vehicle’s condition. (Our qualified surveyors generally take five-to-ten minutes to complete the process.) If you choose Livingston’s door-to-door service, the vehicle will be loaded onto a flatbed tow truck, and taken to our transportation depot, once the vehicle survey is completed.

By truck or rail
Depending on the distance of the move, Livingston will ship your vehicle, either by truck or rail, and we always use professional loading crews, and the most modern tracking technologies.
For shorter distances between cities within the same province, the vehicle is loaded onto an over-the-road transport trailer, specifically designed for automobile transport. The vehicle is firmly secured to the deck of the trailer, and shipped to either a Livingston compound, or directly to the respective destination.
For longer distances, Livingston Vehicle Transportation provides a rail service, which operates exclusively with CN Rail -- Canada’s largest and most efficient railway.
When shipping by rail, vehicles are driven onto ramps and into enclosed railcars. Specially designed for vehicle transportation, these railcars protect the vehicles from the elements, accidental damage, and vandalism. The design of the railcar also allows the vehicle to be fastened with a secure tie-down system that permits the vehicle to ride freely on its own suspension. Livingston tracks all vehicles shipped by rail, using CN’s EDI monitoring and tracing systems to ensure reliable on-time delivery.


Vehicle delivery
Once it arrives at the destination depot, your vehicle is off-loaded from the railcar or truck, and placed in Livingston’s secured compound. Livingston will contact you to arrange for pickup or delivery right to your door.
