Completing a lease take over can be time consuming and a somewhat complicated transaction. It is possible to experience a stress free lease take over when you have someone else taking care of it for you. Quite often, it appears that people have such busy lives that they don't have enough time to do what they need to do in one day. Everyone has so much going on in their lives such as jobs, children, school etc; a vehicle transaction is just an extra layer that most people cannot deal with on their own.
Personally, I think having your dealer represent your vehicle during the whole lease take-over process is a stress and worry-free way of doing things. It may cost a little more money than you may have hoped for but as mentioned, it takes away all of the stress of the steps you would have to take otherwise and it is worth every penny.
Your dealership (if they are lease-take-over savvy) is there to take the phone calls from people who are interested in your vehicle. As a result, your phone is not ringing off the hook during work and family time and you do not have to deal with any (potential) late night phone call disturbances. The dealer will screen the phone calls and arrange for the person to come and see your vehicle.
Showing your vehicle can sometimes be tough as well because of conflicting schedules. Moreover, sometimes single women and older people may feel a little uncomfortable showing the vehicle themselves. The dealer will show the vehicle at the dealership and they will have the credit application and other closing tools at their disposal in the event that the person agrees to make an offer or deal in principle.
When the dealer has found a buyer to take over your vehicle, they will administer all the paperwork on behalf of you, the dealership, the leasing company and the new customer. A great deal more people these days are having their (original selling) dealership represent their vehicles and they are finding it to be a much easier way of getting things done.
